Place the pan with product to be cooked on the ceramic stove surface. Turn the stove on by rotating the control knob clockwise to the desired cooking level. The cooling fan will come on and the indicator light will illuminate steadily. If the indicator light flashes, this means that the stove is in standby mode and will shut off after three minutes in this mode. If this happens, the unit must be reset by turning the control knob to the OFF position and then on to the desired temperature. The primary cause for the stove going to the standby mode is that the unit does not detect a pan on the cooking surface. Make sure that the pan being used is made out of the recommended material. When a high temperature is being used, 380°F (193°C) or higher, the indicator light will flash intermittently and then return to a continuous light. This indicates that the unit is cycling between ON and STANDBY to maintain the proper operating temperature. When cooking is completed, turn the control knob to the OFF position. The fans will continue to run until the unit is completely cooled.

Cleaning
Disconnect the electrical power before cleaning. Clean the ceramic stove surface with a cloth that has been moistened in a solution of detergent and warm water. Rinse and dry. For stubborn stains, you may use a soft paste cleanser. Do not use any abrasive cleaners, stainless steel pads, or metal sponges because they could damage the ceramic surface. The front and sides of the stove can be wiped down with a clean cloth and a stainless steel cleaner and polish.
